We believe of Holy Communion in accordance with Article X of the Augsburg Confession: “Of the Supper of the Lord we teach that the Body and Blood of Christ are truly present, and are distributed to those who eat the Supper of the Lord.”

We welcome all who are baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are at peace with God and their neighbor, and in agreement with the Lutheran Confessions to come forward for Communion. Those who are not baptized or choose not to receive, you are welcome to come forward for a blessing. If you are interested in being baptized or learning more about the Confessions, please see the pastor after the service or make an appointment to see him during the week.

“For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”  1 Corinthians 11:23-26
